About Raven River Industries
An Indigenous-owned solutions provider catering to remote camps and modular projects in the Tahltan Nation of northern British Columbia.
Our greatest priority is to provide career opportunity and experience to local citizens of Tahltan Nation, creating a pool of educated and skilled individuals creating a direct, positive impact on Tahltan land.
Raven River Industries was created as a joint venture styled partnership between Subcool Mechanical Inc. and Perceptive Industries LTD.
This collaboration combines our respective strengths and capabilities, enabling us to offer an even more comprehensive and efficient service for all aspects of modular installation and site services. Our commitment is to the highest standard of quality work, with Tahltan representation on every project.
Why Raven River?
Extensive experience
With extensive modular camp experience, there is no project too large or too challenging that we cannot complete with full confidence.
Unique understanding
We have a specific understanding of the unique challenges created by the region we operate in and we are made stronger by our collective experiences and perspectives.
Diverse experience
Our team has an extensive range of remote, modular camp experience.
We govern ourselves with the Sacred teachings passed down to us by our ancestors, including how we interact with people and places. We respect the spirit of the places we work in and strive to protect the land we work on.
Tahltan Nation
Tahltan Nation is unceded territory. It was never signed into Treaty, surrendered, or sold. It is a Matrilineal Society, meaning ancestry and family, teachings, and legends are passed down through mothers, a foundational system that remains in place today. Tahltan Nation covers approximately 11% of northern British Columbia and crosses into the Yukon Territory. The nation’s land is incredibly rich in minerals and wildlife, hosting some of the most significant rivers and tributaries, including the sacred rivers of the Stikine, Nass and Skeena. Tahltans account for over half the population in the territory, concentrated in the communities of Telegraph Creek, Dease Lake and Iskut.
Social Responsibility
Our guiding purpose is to provide meaningful trades experience to local residents, creating opportunities and growth for the community.
As a Tahltan-owned business, we endeavor to bring a bright future of opportunity to Tahltan citizens, much like Raven brought daylight to all of Creation so long ago. While it is of high priority to provide employment to Tahltans, it is also important to provide opportunity for non-Tahltan employees to positively experience, interact with, and learn about what makes the Tahltan Nation an incredible and special place.
